Kianjogu Factory is one of seven wet mills operated by Rutuma Amalgamated Farmers' Cooperative Society, located in the Kirimukuyu ward of Mathira West sub-county, Nyeri County. In Kenya, "factory" is the term for a wet mill — the centralised processing point where smallholder farmers deliver freshly picked cherry on the day of harvest. Kianjogu receives cherry from over 400 producers farming the surrounding land.

Kianjogu specifically sits on the western slopes of the Aberdare Range, where clay loam soils, reliable bi-modal rainfall, and consistent altitude create the ideal environment for coffee production, with flowering from February to April and main harvest between October and January. Agronomists say the abundant phosphoric acid found in the minerals of Mount Kenya makes Kenyan coffees taste clear and lively — a geological gift that underlies the region's reputation.

This coffee’s appeal lies in its strong flavor (with notes of blackberry, cassis, black tea) and aroma of berries and blackcurrants, accompanied by a sweet aftertaste
